Fun Fact about Mbombela!
The provincial capital of South Africa's Mpumalanga is Mbombela. It is situated around 360 kilometres east of Johannesburg in the country's east. The term "Mbombela" is a condensed form of "Mbombela Nkangala," which in Swazi means "a lot of people gathered in a limited place." Nelspruit, the old name of the city, was changed to Mbombela in 2009. Mbombela is a significant center for commerce and transportation in the area and is also home to a variety of educational institutions, hospitals, and universities.
Nelspruit, now known as Mbombela, is located in the Mpumalanga province of South Africa, which is known for its beautiful landscapes and rich cultural history. There are many things to do in and around the city, including:
